  1. ===== Information for Users ("READ-ME") ================

  3. This package contains QrRotateLabel v2.0 for QuickReports by BitSoft
  4. Development, L.L.C.  This document contains only a very brief description
  5. of the package and its features, along with instructions for its
  6. installation.  Quite detailed documentation is included in the package,
  7. but it is in archived form, and is more easily read after installation.

  9. QrRotateLabel for QuickReports is a shareware program.  This evaluation
  10. version includes all features of the component, and is not crippled in
  11. any way. You may use it for up to 30 days, without charge.  If you would
  12. like to continue to use the component after this evaluation period, you
  13. are required to purchase the registered version (see "Ordering
  14. information" in the README.HLP file after installation).  Any fee you may
  15. have paid to others (disk vendors, dealers, etc.) to obtain this
  16. evaluation version was a fee for their copying and distribution services,
  17. rather than a payment for continued use of the software.

  20. ===== Installation =====================================

  22. The installation procedure for QrRotateLabel for QuickReports is quite
  23. simple.  The package includes a program, "SETUP.EXE", which automates
  24. the entire process.  You will need about 325kb of available disk space
  25. on the hard drive on which you plan to install QrRotateLabel for
  26. QuickReports for a complete installation.

  28. INSTALLING FROM A HARD DRIVE
  29.  
  30. If you downloaded QrRotateLabel from a BBS or an internet FTP site (or
  31. received it in the form of archive files from some other source) you will
  32. need to perform the following steps.
  33.  
  34.    o  Extract the contents of the archive file(s) in a temporary
  35.       directory on your hard drive.  The procedure for doing this
  36.       varies, depending on the form in which you received the package.
  37.       In all likelihood, the fact that you are reading this text means
  38.       that you already have the necessary tools and knowledge to
  39.       perform this step.  If not, you should be able to obtain
  40.       directions for this from the same source from which you received
  41.       the package.

  43.    o  Execute the "SETUP.EXE" program which you have extracted.  For
  44.       example, if the temporary directory into which you have extracted
  45.       the QrRotateLabel package is C:\TEMPDIR, you would execute the
  46.       program "C:\TEMPDIR\SETUP" from "File | Run" (in Windows 3.1) or
  47.       "Start | Run" (in Windows 95).

  49.    o  Follow the instructions presented by the installation program.
  50.       You will have a chance to approve installation before any changes
  51.       are actually made to the contents of your hard drive.  The
  52.       program will ask you for a destination directory, and will copy
  53.       the QrRotateLabel files to that directory.  It will make no other
  54.       changes; specifically, it will not modify your autoexec.bat or
  55.       config.sys files.

  57. When you're satisfied that the installation was successful, you should
  58. delete the temporary directory FROM which you installed the
  59. QrRotateLabel component (C:\TEMPDIR, in the above discussion), including
  60. all its contents.

  65. Once you've complete the installation, follow the instructions in the
  66. README.HLP file on how to install the component into Delphi. That
  67. document also provides other information that you will need to properly
  68. evaluate the TQrRotateLabel component.  We hope you enjoy it and find
  69. it useful!
